The long-running P-Square family dispute has taken another turn after Henry Okoye made fresh claims against his brother, Jude Okoye.
Henry, the elder brother of Peter and Paul Okoye, accused Jude of being behind the family’s deepening division.
Speaking during an interview on Friday night, Henry also claimed their late mother once warned the family against Jude managing the music group.
He rejected claims that Jude was responsible for building P-Square, saying the family supported the twins before Jude became involved.
“When they started this music, they were looking for sponsors. They didn’t get a sponsor. When I started sponsoring them, Jude was not there.
“We would travel from state to state for music. They used my car for flyers. I did bodyguard with them. We were supporting them as a family, but we knew it was Peter and Paul that owned it,” he said.
Henry said Jude later joined the group’s management after Peter and Paul had started gaining attention.
“Before you could know it, Jude came in. We wanted to allow Jude to manage them, but my mum disagreed. She said she knew the kind of character Jude had,” Henry alleged.
He claimed the twins became increasingly distant from their relatives after Jude took charge of their management.
“What happened at last is that they started running away from everybody. We never knew that it was Jude that was causing the problem.”
Henry also claimed he was promised 20 per cent from the group’s earnings for his early support.
“Before they started all these things going on, they promised me 20% in each show, but nobody has given me.”
He said the dispute eventually damaged relationships across the family.
“Jude Has Scattered our Entire Family, He Made The Entire Family and Siblings To Become Enemies.”
Henry also said he has barely spoken with Jude for nearly two years.
“Almost a year to two years, I’m not talking to Jude. He doesn’t talk to me,” Henry claimed.
The fresh claims add another chapter to the P-Square family dispute, which has continued to attract public attention.
