If You Must Do It, Don’t Remain There — Shaffy Bello Speaks on Runs Culture

Popular Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has stirred intense conversations online after speaking openly about survival, dignity, and the pressures many young women face in today’s economy.

The actress made the emotional remarks during an interview on Morayo’s show, where she addressed the growing obsession with online validation and controversial lifestyles.

Moreover, her comments quickly gained attention because of her direct message to women involved in transactional relationships often referred to as “runs.”

During the interview, the actress warned young women against believing they must constantly expose their bodies to become successful or attract attention online.

“The seeds that you sow matter. You don’t have to show your bo%bs to be sexy, and you don’t have to shake your b*mb·m to go viral,” she said.

Furthermore, Shaffy Bello explained that social media pressure has pushed many young people into unhealthy lifestyles.

According to her, self-worth should not be tied to internet fame or public approval.

However, the actress also acknowledged the difficult financial realities affecting many Nigerians today.

She admitted that survival sometimes forces people into choices they normally would not make.

“If what you are doing now is being a runs girl to make money, you don’t have to stay there. I understand it, I never judge,” she stated.

The actress stressed that her message was not about condemning anyone struggling financially.

Instead, she encouraged young women to see temporary hardship as a phase and not a permanent identity.

According to her, many people are under pressure to provide for their families, pay school fees, and survive harsh economic conditions.

“If that’s what you have to do right now to make a living, feed your mum or send your siblings to school, fine, but don’t stay there,” she added.

Meanwhile, the interview has continued generating discussions about survival, morality, and economic hardship in Nigeria.

Shaffy Bello’s remarks have also renewed debates about social media culture and the pressure to chase quick fame.
