“I pray I never get the opportunity, as they call it, to go back,” she stated.
She explained that the opportunities she had discovered in Nigeria continued to shape her decision.
“But because of the opportunities that l’ve seen in this country, and I am still seeing, I don’t ever want to go back.
This is home, this is where it is.”
Despite her positive view, the actress acknowledged Nigeria’s problems with electricity, education and healthcare.
She encouraged young Nigerians to remain hopeful and focus on developing their abilities.
Bello urged young people to recognise their strengths, learn useful skills and prepare themselves for available opportunities.
“Look within yourself, what do you have to offer? What is in your hands?” she asked.
She also advised aspiring professionals to remain honest and authentic as they build their careers.
According to her, these values have helped her maintain a long career in entertainment.
“For me to be here for so many years, first of all, I have to be authentic to who I am. If you lie, you keep having to remember the lies, if you tell the truth, it’s easy,” she said.
The actress further encouraged young people to hold firmly to their faith while pursuing their goals.
