The achievement of the youngest chartered accountant in Nigeria has attracted national attention.

In a statement released on Monday, Olawande congratulated the teenager for reaching an extraordinary milestone at such a young age.

“I heartily congratulate Miss Osasere Okundaye on her outstanding achievement of becoming Nigeria’s youngest Chartered Accountant at just 16 years of age.”

He continued, “This remarkable milestone is a testament to the power of hard work, discipline, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.”

Furthermore, the minister said the achievement reflects the enormous potential that exists among Nigerian youths when they receive the right guidance and opportunities.

According to him, Okundaye has become a role model for many young people across the country.

Meanwhile, Okundaye’s accomplishment comes only a year after another young Nigerian, Temilola Blossom Arise, reached a similar milestone.

Arise, who was 18 years old and a student at the University of Ilorin, successfully passed the professional stage examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

However, Okundaye has now surpassed that record by becoming a chartered accountant at the age of 16.

Her achievement is expected to inspire secondary school students, university undergraduates and young professionals preparing for ICAN examinations.

Education experts have often stressed that discipline, proper mentorship and consistent study habits remain essential for academic excellence.

Moreover, professional qualifications such as ICAN continue to open doors in accounting, finance, auditing and business management.

The success of the youngest chartered accountant in Nigeria also demonstrates that age does not have to be a barrier to achieving ambitious goals.

Across social media, many Nigerians have celebrated the teenager’s accomplishment, describing it as a proud moment for the country.

Several users also praised her determination and encouraged other students preparing for WAEC, JAMB, ICAN and other professional examinations to remain focused.
