A heartbreaking twist has emerged in a kidnapping case that has stunned residents of Edo State.
Two abducted victims, whose families reportedly paid ransom for their freedom, were found dead and buried in shallow graves weeks after they were taken.
The disturbing discovery was made after police arrested a suspected kidnap gang member. The suspect allegedly guided investigators to the burial site hidden within a community in Ovia North-East Local Government Area.
According to information released by authorities, the Edo State Police Command uncovered the remains of the victims in Isiukhu Community after a breakthrough in its investigation.

The operation followed the arrest of a suspected member of a kidnapping syndicate believed to be connected to the crime. During questioning, the suspect reportedly provided information that led officers to the location where the victims had been buried.
Police sources disclosed that the bodies were later exhumed from shallow graves during a carefully coordinated operation.
The case has drawn attention because the victims were allegedly killed despite efforts made by their families to secure their release.
According to available reports, ransom payments of ₦11m were made after the victims were abducted. However, the victims were never returned to their loved ones.
