A 32-year-old Nigerian, Oluwatobi Samuel Oluwaniran, is appealing for urgent help to raise ₦55 million.
Oluwatobi is battling End-Stage Kidney Disease and currently depends on regular dialysis while awaiting a kidney transplant.
His health problems began after severe diabetes complications affected his kidneys. He also lost his sight due to diabetic retinopathy.
Doctors have recommended an urgent kidney transplant as the next major step in his treatment.
The estimated cost covers the transplant, surgery, medication and essential care after the procedure.
So far, about ₦10.49 million has been raised towards the ₦55 million target. However, the family still needs approximately ₦44.51 million to reach the required amount.
Oluwatobi has expressed appreciation to everyone who has contributed towards his treatment so far.
He is also appealing for more support, stressing that every donation can help him move closer to receiving treatment.
A fundraising message shared by his supporters said, “Hi there, I wanted to share a cause that really needs support. Gabriel’s nephew in Lagos has been battling severe kidney disease and now needs a transplant to survive, but the costs have exhausted his private funding. Even a small donation or share can make a big difference in helping him get the treatment he urgently needs—please consider supporting or spreading the word.”

The campaign is calling on individuals, organisations, philanthropists and other well-meaning Nigerians to support him.
