Fear has gripped communities in Kano State once again. Bandits struck for the third day in a row.
This time, they targeted a top political figure. The Kano APC chairman was abducted in a violent night raid.
Alhaji Audu Fanka Salisu Yahaya was taken from Beli village. The attack happened in Rogo Local Government Area around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
Gunmen reportedly stormed the community without warning. They opened fire before heading straight for the chairman’s home.
A source told reporters the attackers broke down his door. They dragged him out and disappeared into the night.
A young resident was killed during the chaos. Witnesses say he was shot while the attackers made their escape.
“They came in, firing sporadically, and went straight to the chairman’s house. They broke down the door, brought him out and took him away. On their way, they shot a young man, who was not more than 25 years old, and he died instantly,” the source said.

This Kano APC chairman kidnap case has shaken residents across the region. Many have taken to social media demanding urgent help.
Locals are calling on security agencies to step in fast. They fear more attacks could follow in nearby communities.
Similar attacks hit Chiromawa on Sunday, leaving three people dead and one man abducted.
That victim later escaped his captors. But the violence continued into Monday night in Rantan community, where two more people died.
With three attacks in three days, worry is spreading fast. Security agencies have not yet released an official statement on the matter.
