Addressing officers, the police chief described the deceased personnel as brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting lives and property. Their deaths, he noted, would not weaken the determination of the force.

According to the police leadership, the officers lost their lives while confronting criminal elements threatening peace and security across parts of Zamfara State. In addition, condolences were extended to the families of the deceased officers on behalf of the Force Management Team and the entire Nigeria Police Force.

The Inspector-General stressed that the painful loss should strengthen ongoing efforts against insecurity. However, he urged officers to remain disciplined, focused, and professional despite the challenges ahead.

He also praised the command for recent operational achievements. These included arrests of suspected criminals, rescue of kidnap victims, and recovery of stolen motorcycles. Moreover, explosives and other dangerous items were recovered during separate operations.

Several successful actions against armed bandits were also highlighted. Therefore, the command’s performance has been viewed as evidence of effective intelligence gathering and improved cooperation among security agencies.

Officers were assured that efforts would continue to improve logistics, welfare, equipment, and other resources needed for effective policing.

Furthermore, he noted that security challenges can be addressed more effectively when residents work closely with law enforcement agencies.

The visit ended with a call for officers to remain committed to their constitutional responsibilities. Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed its resolve to protect lives, tackle violent crime, and improve public safety nationwide.
