The latest deployment reflects the growing determination of security agencies to prevent criminal activities before they occur. Moreover, the use of tactical officers and drone technology highlights a new approach to intelligence-led policing within the state.

The Otuo security operation began with a courtesy visit to the palace of the Ovie of Otuo Kingdom. During the visit, the security team received royal support and blessings before moving into the field for the planned exercise.

Community leaders welcomed the officers and expressed confidence in the operation. Their support was viewed as an important step toward strengthening cooperation between security agencies and local residents.

After leaving the palace, the tactical officers immediately commenced the coordinated bush combing exercise. Meanwhile, surveillance drones were deployed to monitor difficult terrains and improve the effectiveness of the search operation.

The officers were later joined by members of the Otuo Neighborhood Watch team. The local security volunteers were led by Ben Ogbewe, popularly known as Shigidi, who assisted the police throughout the operation.

Together, both teams searched several identified locations believed to require closer security monitoring.

Although no official arrests or recoveries were announced at the time of the operation, the exercise was designed to strengthen security and reassure residents.

Furthermore, the deployment of drones demonstrates how modern technology is gradually becoming part of security operations across Nigeria.

These tools help officers gather useful information while reducing risks during difficult search missions.

Residents who witnessed the operation expressed optimism that the increased security presence would discourage criminal activities within the area.

Across Nigeria, police commands have continued to adopt proactive strategies aimed at preventing crime before it happens.

The support received from the Ovie of Otuo Kingdom further highlighted the role traditional rulers continue to play in promoting peace and stability within their communities.

As the operation continues, authorities are expected to sustain surveillance across the affected communities.
