Popular Nigerian content creator Peller has claimed that many of the dollar notes sprayed on him during his wedding to Jarvis were fake.
The streamer questioned why people would give counterfeit notes instead of genuine gifts.
Speaking during a livestream, Peller explained that he first believed he had received a large amount of money. However, the excitement faded after bank officials allegedly discovered that many of the dollar bills were not genuine.
He said, “I went to the bank, and the Nigerian money was genuine. I saw that a lot of people gave me Nigerian currency. Yes, they gave me Nigerian currency, and that is good. I know the people who gave me genuine money; if I see them, I will recognise them.”
Peller added, “When they came, I saw them. They gave me fake money. I got home, I was feeling like a millionaire and used the money to make a video. ‘Hello, hello,’ and then I realised it was fake. I can’t talk.”
The content creator said he deliberately stayed silent after visiting the bank because he was disappointed by the outcome. He stressed that he could identify guests who genuinely gave him authentic money.
Questioning the practice, Peller asked, “Is it by force to spray money?” He did not mention anyone by name or accuse any specific guest of giving him the alleged counterfeit notes.
However, his remarks have since generated reactions online.
