The syndicate was reportedly brought down following intelligence-led operations carried out by the Special Tactical Squad of the Force Intelligence Department.

According to police findings, members of the criminal group operated across different parts of the Federal Capital Territory. Their activities allegedly involved armed robbery, abduction, extortion, and violent attacks on innocent residents.

The police disclosed that the syndicate had become notorious for targeting commuters through the “One Chance” method. Victims were allegedly lured into vehicles and later robbed, kidnapped, or forced to surrender valuables and money.

Moreover, investigations linked the gang to several high-profile crimes committed within the territory. Authorities believe the suspects terrorized residents for an extended period before their eventual arrest.

Police said the syndicate was allegedly responsible for the killing of nurse Chinemerem Chukwumeziem in January 2026.

Furthermore, investigators connected the same group to the death of another victim, Chinenye Bridget Abia, whose life was reportedly cut short in February 2026.
