A touching revelation has emerged following the death of veteran actor Ogogo.

He revealed this during a condolence visit to the actor’s family, the visit took place at their country home in Ilaro, Ogun State.

Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, passed away on August 23, 2026, at age 66 years.

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, also known as Yayi, opened up about his future plans. He said Ogogo would have played a major role in his government.

According to the senator, he wanted Ogogo as his Special Adviser, this role would have covered Culture and Tourism with full cabinet rank.

He explained this plan was tied to the 2027 Ogun State governorship race. Yayi hopes to become governor and had already mapped out key positions.

This Senator Yayi Ogogo connection went beyond politics, though. The senator also revealed efforts made during the actor’s final days.

He disclosed that Ogogo had been battling stage-four cancer, the plans were already in motion to fly him abroad for treatment.

Visa applications had been processed to take him to India but sadly, his health declined too quickly for the trip to happen.

The senator’s visit brought comfort to the grieving family, his words also shed light on a bond many never knew existed.

As tributes continue pouring in, this story adds a deeper layer to Ogogo’s legacy.
