Environmental Lagos Platform (ELP) wants you to walk, sweat and save a life, all in one morning. The group is launching WalDo, a fitness walk and blood donation drive in Lagos State.
WalDo holds at 9am on November 18, 2026, at Alausa, Ikeja, It begins with an awareness walk and ends with blood donation. The program partners with The Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service.
The aim is to keep blood available in hospitals and make it more affordable. Blood cannot be made in a lab, so it only comes from donors.
Organisers hold a firm belief. “The human resource is the most important resource, and every effort must be made to save and nurture a life.”
They also want you to think of those who need it. “There is a child, a mother, a father, a sister, a brother, a friend out there, that you might be saving when you donate blood.”
