Falana Questions VDM’s NBA Invite, Activist Fires Back

VeryDarkMan has responded strongly to lawyer Femi Falana after he criticised the NBA for inviting him as a panelist.

Falana had questioned the decision to feature the social media activist at the NBA conference in Rivers State.

VDM has now defended his invitation while taking aim at critics who opposed his appearance at the event.

In a video released Thursday morning, VDM accused Falana and others of being “classists” who looked down on his background.

He argued that some critics believe someone from a humble background should not share a platform with members of the legal profession.

VDM also challenged the suggestion that a security expert should have been invited instead.

“They mask it up with the talk of, ‘Oh you should have invited a security expert.”

He questioned the experience of some security experts and said his own experiences had exposed him to issues they had not seen.

“It’s not about book. It is about experience. And when you want to talk about security, it is for everybody. It is not for some set of people.”

The activist also attacked the idea that law remains a noble profession in Nigeria.

He questioned public confidence in the justice system and argued that many people now seek his help when facing disputes.

“When people want justice, who do they call? They call VDM!”

VDM further claimed he had helped more people resolve cases than many lawyers.

“Most of the lawyers talking on Twitter, I have won more cases and given people justice more than most of them put together?”

He also challenged critics to point to their contributions to society.

He further states, “At least I can trace what I have done.”
