People Are Profiting From My Dad’s Illness’ — Taiwo Hassan’s Daughter Breaks Silence

The family of veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has raised fresh concerns over his health.

His daughter, Kira Taiwo, alleged that some people are trying to profit from the actor’s cancer treatment.

Kira made the claim during an emotional TikTok live session while appealing for genuine medical help.

She said several people had approached the family with expensive treatment offers during the actor’s health crisis.

“My father is a good father. Some people are even trying to make money with us in this whole situation. Fear God. This one will come and bring solution, N800k, N5m, 11,000 dollars, N18,000 dollars. Do you want to make us broke? We are not billionaires,” she said.

The family recently appealed to medical experts and well-wishers for assistance with Ogogo’s treatment.

Kira said their main need was effective medical care rather than financial donations.

She revealed that some hospitals had informed the family they could no longer continue his chemotherapy.

“What l’m here for, what I’m here for is that if you can treat my daddy, if you can start chemo for him, whether it’s medical or herbs, please, I’m begging you, guys, I’m begging you, any help, anything, anybody that you know that can treat cancer, please, please, I’m begging you,” she said.

Her sister, Lima Taiwo, said the family only became aware of the seriousness of Ogogo’s condition about three weeks earlier.

Kira also described the emotional strain the illness has placed on the family.

She said her father’s condition had been particularly painful for those closest to him.

“He’s saying that he doesn’t want to dee. Please, I’ve never seen my daddy in that kind of pain before.”

The family’s appeal has renewed attention on Taiwo Hassan cancer battle, with relatives seeking medical support for the veteran actor.
