The rescued victims were immediately moved to a safe location. Furthermore, arrangements are being made to reunite them with their families after receiving the necessary support and assistance.

Several motorcycles allegedly used by the attackers were also recovered during the operation. The recovered items are expected to aid ongoing investigations.

Meanwhile, security personnel have intensified patrols across the Anka–Bukuyum corridor. In addition, clearance operations are being carried out to prevent further attacks and track down fleeing suspects.

The road has frequently been targeted by criminal groups due to its proximity to forest hideouts often used for kidnappings and ambushes.

However, security officials believe the latest success demonstrates the importance of intelligence gathering and rapid response. They noted that timely information from residents remains vital in the fight against banditry.

Moreover, authorities said a stronger security presence has been maintained in vulnerable communities across the region. Therefore, efforts are expected to continue until criminal networks operating within the area are dismantled.
