A long chase has finally come to an end for security agencies as the DSS has arrested a wanted fugitive after years of searching.
Faisal Abdulrasheed Maina had evaded authorities since 2020; he is the son of former Pension Reform Task Team chairman, Abdulrasheed Maina.
Faisal Maina fugitive arrest happened in the Karsana area of Abuja, as the DSS operatives tracked him down before handing him over to the EFCC.

His capture followed a public declaration naming him a wanted person. The EFCC had issued that notice after he disappeared during his trial.
According to security sources, intelligence played a major role in locating him; DSS officers trailed his movements before finally making the arrest.
Faisal Maina’s arrest connects to older allegations involving public fund diversion; he was previously facing charges tied to suspicious financial transactions.
He had jumped bail back in 2020 while the case was ongoing; his sudden disappearance left the court case unresolved for years.
Authorities have now transferred him to the EFCC for further action; he is expected to face continued investigation and possible prosecution.
