Confusion has trailed reports that Arise News anchor Rufai Oseni was suspended following an alleged confrontation at work.
The claim quickly gained attention online. However, fresh details suggest a different story entirely.
Initial reports alleged that the broadcaster had an argument with his superior and reacted by banging on a table.
According to Nairaland, the presenter took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to respond to the rumours directly, stating:
“If I take on APC supporters now over fake news on my suspension
They will start to beg, I don leave them
Anyway I visit DW TV studio in Germany today”
This response suggested that the claims may not be accurate. In addition, it hinted that he was engaged in other professional activities outside Nigeria.
Meanwhile, another source has pushed back against the suspension claims.
Instead, it was clarified that Rufai Oseni is currently on a planned leave. Therefore, the reports of suspension have been described as misleading.
However, for now, there is no official confirmation supporting the suspension claim.
