He explained that the operation is a proactive measure to address potential security threats and ensure a peaceful holiday period.

“Under the CG’s explicit instructions, all zonal commanders, state commandants, and provosts of colleges have been tasked with overseeing comprehensive security in their jurisdictions,” Babawale said.

“High-traffic areas including churches, shopping complexes, parks, and recreational centres will be under strict surveillance by both visible patrols and undercover agents to preemptively strike against any criminal elements.”

Moreover, the NSCDC emphasised collaboration with other security agencies to maintain law and order.

“Our goal is a seamless and secure Easter season. We are working hand-in-hand with sister agencies to maintain order. I also urge parents and guardians to guide their children properly, ensuring they are not manipulated into engaging in activities that could disrupt public peace,” Audi said.

In addition, the elite divisions of the NSCDC, such as the Special Intelligence Squad, Mining Marshals, Special Female Squad, and Crack Squad, have been placed on maximum alert.

Furthermore, the CG encouraged the general public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities promptly to the nearest NSCDC post or security formation.

“The mobilisation reflects the Corps’ unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property during festive periods,” Babawale added.

The NSCDC Easter security deployment is expected to maintain high visibility in vulnerable areas, reassure citizens, and prevent criminal activities during the celebrations.
