Popular Nigerian music promoter and socialite Samson Erinfolami Balogun, widely known as Sam Larry, has made his first public appearance after reports of a serious road accident.
A newly surfaced video showed Sam Larry standing with friends as they celebrated what appeared to be his recovery.
The clip quickly gained attention online because many people had feared the accident left him with life-threatening injuries.
Moreover, the latest development comes after disturbing videos and photos of a badly damaged vehicle circulated online.
According to earlier reports, the accident reportedly happened along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Witnesses claimed the crash occurred during the early hours of the day after Sam Larry’s vehicle allegedly rammed into a trailer.
Furthermore, reports alleged that one of his close associates, identified simply as Wale, lost his life during the accident. He was said to have worked as Sam Larry’s personal bouncer. Meanwhile, Sam Larry was reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical treatment shortly after the crash.
In addition, investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo claimed that the music promoter could lose both legs because of injuries allegedly sustained in the crash. However, no official medical report was released to support that claim, leaving many questions unanswered.
The uncertainty continued until a fresh video surfaced online on the night of July 10, 2026.
In the video, Sam Larry appeared healthy as he stood comfortably beside friends during what looked like a private celebration. The group was also seen singing while responding to critics who had celebrated the news of the accident and wished him harm.
Although Sam Larry has not personally released a formal statement about the accident, the latest video strongly suggests that he is recovering.
Meanwhile, questions still remain over the circumstances surrounding the reported death of his associate. Authorities have also not released any official findings regarding the cause of the crash or whether investigations are ongoing.
