The Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum Chairman, Aminu Tambuwal, has resigned from his chairmanship position . The Sokoto State Governor announced his resignation at the ongoing Board of Trustees meeting in Abuja.
Tambuwal has won election during the 2015 general elections and re-elected in the 2019 general elections.He also became speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria (2011–2015) and Member of the House of Representatives of Nigeria (2003–2015)
