“My Friends Deserted Me” — Julius Agwu Breaks Down Over Health Challenges

Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu became emotional while reflecting on some of the hardest years of his life.

The veteran entertainer opened up about the difficult period during a recent appearance on the Beer Parlour Talk Show.

His emotional moment came as he spoke about his career, health struggles and people who stood by him.

He explained how the idea eventually became known as “musicomedy,” which became part of his entertainment identity.

“Of that alleged comedy, na me stay, I stayed and form that coinage,” he said.

“That music-com, yes na me form am to tell you how my brain dey think na him make everything.”

The comedian later became visibly emotional while discussing the people he lost contact with during his difficult period.

Agwu recalled that some people he considered close friends stopped communicating with him after his health crisis.

“My friends deserted me,” he said.

“This bishop wey they talk now, he was managing me. Collect my money, do everything, then they stop talking to me, many of them, but God no go leave you.”

His words brought a deeply personal side of the veteran comedian to the conversation.

Agwu previously faced a major health crisis after suffering a seizure in 2015.

He later underwent brain surgery in 2016 and survived the difficult period.

The experience affected both his personal life and his entertainment career.

During the talk show, the comedian also expressed gratitude to people who supported him through his struggles.
