“One way when you say, I don’t want my children to suffer what I suffered when I was growing up You see, that’s the best way to destroy your children.”

She explained that parents should not deliberately make their children suffer.

However, she advised parents to allow their children to face some challenges and understand the effort behind success.

“I’m not saying allow them to suffer, what I’m saying is allow them to struggle. Go through the process.”

Mama G also warned parents against making their wealth too easily available to their children.

She said children should understand that their parents’ possessions are not automatically theirs.

“When you keep the things that you have and let them know that, ‘You go get yours, this is mine'”

According to the actress, children who grow up without learning the value of hard work may develop a sense of entitlement.

She added that children should experience manageable challenges that can help them appreciate what they have.

“But when you pamper them, they don’t come out to be anything.”

Ozokwor also shared how she taught her own son to become independent.

“I told my son, My house isn’t yours, go and work for your own.”

The veteran actress maintained that children from wealthy families can achieve even more when they understand the value of hard work.
