Abuja is set to attract major investors from around the world as Nigeria prepares for a major business summit. The event is expected to bring global business leaders together with Nigerian companies and governments.
The International Investors Summit Nigeria 2026 will hold on November 10 and 11 at the Abuja Continental Hotel. Organisers expect investors and business representatives from more than 50 countries.
More than $100 billion in investment commitments and opportunities are being targeted at the summit. The proposed investments will cover several key sectors of the Nigerian economy.
These sectors include technology, artificial intelligence, fintech, healthcare, agriculture and infrastructure. Mining, energy, oil and gas, education and green energy will also feature.
President of the Business Summit Group, Dato’ Dr. M. Haider Uzzaman, announced the plans at a press conference in Abuja. He said the event would connect investors with projects ready for funding.
“Investors like projects that have track records for expansion and new production lines,” Uzzaman said.
He explained that projects capable of starting quickly would receive greater attention. The summit is also expected to create opportunities for businesses seeking foreign investment and global partnerships.
Furthermore, investors from the United States, Canada, Brazil and Argentina are expected. Delegates are also expected from the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and several Middle Eastern countries.

Uzzaman said the previous summit held in Bangkok attracted Nigerian companies and state governments. Twenty-five Nigerian participants reportedly attended the event held in Thailand last year.
Meanwhile, Plateau State has reportedly secured more than $1 billion in investment commitments. The organisers linked the achievement to its participation in the previous summit.
The organisers said registration is open for companies and state governments. Government investment agencies can also register for direct meetings with participating investors.
Liberian President Joseph Boakai Sr. has reportedly shown interest in attending the event. President of Liberland, Vit Jedlička, has also confirmed plans to attend with his delegation.
