I’ll Move to Israel: Trump Reveals What He Would Do if Americans Reject Him

US President Donald Trump has joked about leaving America for Israel if Americans ever become tired of his leadership. He suggested he could even become Israel’s next prime minister. Trump made the remark during an Election Day appearance on Fox News on Tuesday. He was discussing his popularity in Israel and the close relationship between both countries.

The US president made the statement while highlighting the support he claims to enjoy among Israelis.

“In fact, if people ever got tired of me in the U.S., I’ll move to Israel, become prime minister,” he said.

Trump also claimed that his approval rating in Israel stands at 99 per cent. He described the figure as the highest approval rating ever recorded for anyone. However, he did not present any polling evidence to support the claim. His comments also came amid reports placing his US approval rating at 32 percent.

During the interview, Trump praised Israel and described the country as an important ally of the United States. He also highlighted his administration’s actions against Iran.

The president further announced that the United States would end its annual $4 billion aid to Israel in 2027. The announcement adds another development to discussions about future US-Israel relations. Trump’s latest Israel prime minister joke is not the first time he has made such comments. He previously suggested a similar possibility in May.

On that occasion, he also claimed to enjoy 99 percent support among Israelis.  His latest remarks have once again drawn attention to his relationship with Israel.
