President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on her 66th birthday.
In a personal message, the President praised her patience, courage, faith and support throughout their years together.
He described Oluremi as his closest friend and confidante who understands him even before he speaks.
“The burdens that were mine to bear often found their way onto your shoulders. The thoughts I could not put into words somehow found their way to you.”
Tinubu said the First Lady remained calm during difficult periods and prayed with him.
He also praised her honesty, especially when she gives him advice after demanding days.
“I call you my truest friend and confidante because you speak the truth plainly, even on the days I would rather not hear it.”
He said her influence also extends to their family, with their children and grandchildren growing under her guidance.
The President highlighted Oluremi’s public work and her support for vulnerable Nigerians.
He mentioned her work through the New Era Foundation and the Renewed Hope Initiative.
According to Tinubu, her efforts have reached young people, widows, elderly citizens and women farmers.
He also praised her advocacy for people affected by tuberculosis and other illnesses.
“Nigerians know you for your compassion, kindness, generosity of spirit and steadfast faith. I have watched you touch lives quietly and consistently, offering hope and support to those in need.”
Tinubu said her compassion has reached people across different communities and backgrounds.
He noted that many beneficiaries may never know the extent of her support.
“For you, compassion has never recognised the boundaries of tribe, region or religion.”
The President ended the birthday message with a personal reflection on their long journey together.
He said their relationship had survived difficult decisions, sacrifices, laughter and prayer.
“If life returned me to the beginning, I would choose the same road that led me to you. Through every mile, my heart has always remained at home with you.”
Tinubu thanked his wife for the life and love they have built together.
He also prayed for her continued health, happiness and many more years.
“Happy 66th birthday, my darling Oluremi.”
