Abuja Police Shut Down Viral Nyanya Kidney Rumour

The FCT Police Command has rejected viral claims that young people in Nyanya were selling their kidneys for money.

The reports also alleged that an agent in Mararaba was buying human kidneys from young residents.

However, the police said they have neither received nor confirmed any report supporting the claims.

The Command said no official statement was issued confirming the alleged kidney sales.

Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh urged residents to ignore the reports and avoid spreading unverified information.

The warning comes amid growing concern over viral security claims shared across social media platforms.

The Command stressed that unverified reports could create unnecessary fear and confusion among residents.

Anyone with genuine information about possible organ trafficking has been encouraged to contact the police.

Residents can also report suspicious activities to the nearest police station for proper investigation.
