The United States has issued fresh security warnings across the Middle East, urging Americans to consider leaving the region or remain ready to depart at short notice.
The US Middle East security alert has affected several countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, and Lebanon.
American embassies described the security situation as unpredictable and warned that conditions could change rapidly.
In a joint advisory, US missions urged citizens to stay alert and prepare for possible travel disruptions. Officials warned that attacks linked to the conflict could spread to areas that had previously remained unaffected.
The embassies stated, “Americans in the region should consider departing, or be prepared to depart should there be escalation.” They also advised travellers outside the Middle East to reconsider visiting or passing through the region.
The warning followed comments by US President Donald Trump, who said Washington would continue striking Iran “very hard” until Tehran could no longer sustain the conflict.
As a result, Americans were urged to monitor flight schedules and prepare for possible cancellations or temporary airspace closures.
The advisory also warned that US embassies, businesses and institutions could become targets for Iran or groups allied with Tehran. In Israel, Americans were advised to identify nearby bomb shelters, while those in Jordan were told to avoid US military bases.
However, the situation shifted hours later after Trump announced he would delay further military action. According to him, Iran and several Middle Eastern countries requested more time to negotiate a possible agreement.
The proposed deal reportedly includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending Iran’s nuclear threat. Despite the pause, regional tensions remain high following reports of intercepted Iranian drones in Kuwait and separate maritime incidents near Oman.
