Here’s an update on the Surulere flood that took a young teenager away on Monday afternoon the 22nd of June 2020

According to Nosa Okunbor the head of Public Affairs- LASEMA, who made a Preliminary Report on flooding incident at Alapafuja Close, Surulere on Tuesday morning the 23rd of June 2020.

Nosa Okunbor said, “Upon arrival at the scene of incident, it was discovered that the canal along Alapafuja close linking Bank Olemoh was submerged as a result of flooding and a teenage girl named Ayisat was swept away by the flood around 12:30p.m (Monday).

“However, her body could not been found as the LASEMA Response Team, LRT, searched through the adjoining canals. Operation suspended till morning.” He concluded his speech.
