IGP Disu Approves Promotion of 17,952 Junior Police Officers Nationwide

In a move that has attracted attention across the Nigeria Police Force, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu has approved the promotion of 17,952 junior officers nationwide.

The approved promotions include 165 Sergeants who were elevated to the rank of Inspector. In addition, 73 Corporals were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Furthermore, 17,714 Constables were advanced to the rank of Corporal. The exercise was carried out across Commands and Formations nationwide.

Police authorities explained that the promotion exercise forms part of broader efforts to motivate personnel and recognize outstanding service.
