Moreover, her elevation comes shortly after Tuggar stepped down to pursue political ambitions ahead of the 2027 elections.

In addition, President Tinubu nominated Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye as the new Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

Meanwhile, Enikanolaiye brings decades of diplomatic experience to the role. He has served in various capacities within Nigeria’s foreign service over the years.

Before his nomination, he worked as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations. His experience spans postings in cities such as Addis Ababa, London, Ottawa, and New Delhi.

Furthermore, he previously held the position of Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Presidency noted that the appointments are part of efforts to improve efficiency and strategic engagement.

Moreover, the changes are expected to support economic diplomacy and regional stability.

President Tinubu also congratulated the appointees and urged them to remain focused on national interest. He emphasised the importance of protecting Nigerians both at home and abroad.

Meanwhile, analysts believe the Bianca Ojukwu Foreign Affairs Minister move could influence Nigeria’s diplomatic tone in the coming years.

Therefore, as the transition unfolds, attention will remain on how these appointments shape Nigeria’s foreign relations.
