Social media commentator, Very Dark Man (VDM), has stirred massive reactions online after accusing Nollywood actress Regina Daniels of drug use following her recent emotional outburst on social media.
The controversy began when VDM resurfaced an old video of Regina Daniels condemning protesters against bad governance, describing their actions as “unpatriotic.”
In the viral clip, the actress criticised demonstrators waving a Russian flag in northern Nigeria and warned that such behaviour could spread to the southern region.
VDM reposted the video on X (formerly Twitter), mocking the actress and calling her the “it’s better to cry in a Lambo” girl a reference to her famous quote about preferring luxury amid hardship.
He wrote, “Throwback video of ‘it’s better cry-in-a-Lambo’ insulting protesters, the innocent Nigerians her husband and other politicians made life difficult and unbearable for. She deserved everything she’s getting. This is Karma.”
The resurfaced clip immediately divided social media users.
While some accused Regina of hypocrisy, others defended her, saying people should not judge her by past opinions.
User @DarekJaden wrote, “Karma is a bitch🤣🤣🤣 Abeg make una leave am make she dey cry for Lambo🤣🤣🤣.”Another, Lady Victoria, commented, “She was very comfortable here. All these are just husband and wife fights and they’ll definitely settle.”
However, the drama deepened when Regina Daniels released a tearful video on Friday, speaking openly about her emotional struggles and mental exhaustion.
In the viral clip, she said, “I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense. I’m really crying in front of everybody.”
She further expressed concern over her brother’s situation, saying, “Every time I wake up, I say one thing oh my brother, today I hear good news, he’s about to be free, then tomorrow I hear another thing. Like, what’s the problem? But I’ve tried. I have to go. I will go back.”
Reacting to the emotional video, VDM claimed that her erratic behaviour supported her husband Ned Nwoko’s alleged claims that the actress was “into drugs.”
VDM said, “After watching the video Regina Daniels made this morning, now I believe Ned Nwoko that she is into drugs. She was so disorganised. She said a lot without saying anything. That is a typical drug addict.”
He further urged her loved ones to seek professional help for her.
“People close to her should advise her to go to a rehabilitation centre. The mother also admitted it in her video when she said, ‘Ned tell the world what you did to that girl. Who lured her into it all because of fantasy.’ Regina is not stable. She shot herself in the leg with that video. She was not coherent,” he added.
Meanwhile, Regina Daniels has yet to publicly respond to VDM’s accusations, and fans remain divided over the unfolding drama.
