The statement came on Monday, October 13, during a press briefing in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, following the signing of the Gaza peace deal a U.S.-brokered agreement aimed at ending years of conflict in the region.

Standing alongside leaders from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, President Trump confidently said, “There won’t be World War 3, hopefully at all, but it’s not gonna start in the Middle East.”

His words came as part of a strong assurance that peace and cooperation had finally taken precedence over division and violence in the region.

The U.S. President further emphasized that global tensions should not escalate into another world conflict.

“I have read it many times that World War 3 will begin in the Middle East it’s not gonna happen,” Trump stated.

The Gaza peace deal, signed earlier in the day, was hailed by Trump as a “historic moment” for the Middle East.

The accord, facilitated by the U.S., seeks to establish long-term stability by addressing humanitarian needs and reducing military tensions in Gaza.

Moreover, President Trump highlighted that peace efforts should focus on uplifting citizens, not funding violence.

“We’ve all agreed that supporting Gaza must be done to lift up the people themselves. We don’t want to fund anything to do with bloodshed, hatred, or terror as has happened in the past,” he said.

He further stated, “We are not gonna have a World War 3 if we are smart,”

In addition, the president called for Gaza to be “demilitarized” and for a new civilian police force to ensure the safety of residents.

He also pledged the U.S.’s continued support, stating, “Gaza, as I said earlier, I intend to be a partner in securing a better future. You are going to be working with the United States. We are going to make sure the Middle East is going to be a safe and secure place.”

The signing ceremony, attended by major Middle Eastern leaders and peace mediators, was seen as a milestone in U.S. diplomacy.
