He further revealed that despite their strained relationship, Mohbad had been considering reconciliation before his passing.

“When I heard of his death, I was outside Nigeria,” Marley said. “I was first in Amsterdam and later in Montenegro with Zinoleesky for a planned video shoot. I have passport stamps, videos, and witnesses to prove I wasn’t in the country.”

The singer also reacted to viral videos that sparked widespread outrage, including footage showing Sam Larry confronting Mohbad on set.

He clarified that the clip did not occur on the day of Mohbad’s death.

“I first saw the footage online like everyone else,” Marley explained. “Zlatan even confirmed privately that nothing violent happened at that shoot.”

Furthermore, Marley alleged that some blogs were paid to circulate old videos in order to shape public opinion against him.

He said this campaign made it impossible for him to grieve properly.

In his statement, Marley highlighted Mohbad’s personal challenges, including depression and paranoia.

He pointed to a leaked voice note in which Mohbad admitted being fearful after past incidents.

MohBad’s partner had also previously revealed that the late singer was once admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

“He became a shadow of himself after the NDLEA raid,” Marley recalled.

Marley firmly rejected claims that he ever bullied or sent people to harass MohBad.

He also dismissed a viral Snapchat clip showing him dancing after Mohbad’s death.

“That video was old,” Marley insisted. “It was posted online to frame me.”

The death of Mohbad continues to stir emotions across Nigeria, with fans demanding clarity and justice.
