Nigerian TikTok sensation Habeeb Hamzat, widely recognized as Peller, has responded to the backlash following his remarks on the viral ‘30 Days Rant Challenge.’
His comments sparked widespread criticism, leading to a sharp decline in his social media following.
Peller had initially advised Nigerians against using TikTok as a platform for the challenge, expressing concerns that such actions could lead to a possible government ban on the app.
Instead, he suggested that grievances be aired through Instagram or even physical protests.
However, his views did not resonate well with many social media users, resulting in a mass drop of followers.

Speaking in an interview with TVC, Peller disclosed that he lost approximately 500,000 followers on TikTok and another 400,000 on Instagram after sharing his opinion.
Amid the backlash, Peller took to social media to clarify his stance, insisting that he had no influence over government decisions and was merely sharing his personal thoughts.
“Please, this boy is nobody. I’m just an ordinary citizen like you. I’m not the president or a governor,” he said in a video response.
Moreover, he emphasized that he was not against the challenge itself but was only concerned about its potential consequences.

Despite his explanation, reactions from netizens remain divided.
While some sympathized with his predicament, others argued that his comments were unnecessary and could have been avoided.
Meanwhile, Peller urged Nigerians to redirect their energy toward more pressing national issues rather than focusing on him.
He stressed the importance of addressing the real challenges facing the country rather than attacking individuals who express differing opinions.
