Ayra Starr triumphed over notable Nigerian artists Asake and Tems, as well as South Africa’s Tyla, to claim the Best African Music Act award.
In addition, she emerged victorious in the Best International Music Act category, surpassing global superstars like Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion, Tems, and Latto.
