A member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, has predicted a major win for President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
He linked his prediction to the growing number of politicians from different parties supporting Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Kwankwaso believes the cross-party support could strengthen the president’s chances as Nigeria moves towards the next presidential election.
Kwankwaso, who serves as Director of Finance at the Hadejia-Jama’are River Basin Development Authority, made the prediction in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday.
He pointed to politicians from APGA, Labour Party, PDP and Accord Party joining Tinubu’s campaign as evidence of wider political support.
Reacting to the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council, he said, “To me, the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council is like a congregation celebrating the re-election of President Tinubu back to office. What else remains when the same Nigerians we are supposed to campaign for have collectively come forward in unison for one person Tinubu?”

He described the development as unusual in Nigeria’s political history, arguing that it had brought together politicians who previously struggled to agree.
He added, “It has never happened in Nigeria’s political history that one man could attract nearly all opposition parties not only opposition politicians, but people who have never agreed to sit together yet, because of Tinubu, they have agreed to come on board and pursue a common goal.”
Kwankwaso also referred to comments by Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo about the importance of Tinubu’s economic reforms.
He argued that the 2027 election would shape the country’s economic direction beyond party politics.
“The 2027 presidential election is not just about political survival; it is a defining moment for Nigeria’s economic future. President Tinubu deserves the opportunity to consolidate his policies despite the temporary difficulties associated with these necessary reforms,” he said.
On Kano politics, Kwankwaso expressed confidence that politicians across party lines would support Tinubu’s re-election.
He also named Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo in his political outlook.
