Popular Nigerian activist and influencer, Verydarkman, has taken to social media to express deep disappointment after discovering that his genotype is AS, contrary to what he believed for years.
The revelation has not only shocked him but also dashed his hopes of marrying any of the three women he had been interested in all of whom are also AS.
The content creator revealed in a recent video that he had just gone for a medical test to determine his genotype and blood group.
According to him, he had always assumed he was AA, and never thought his genotype would become an issue in his relationship plans.

“They just told me my genotype and my blood group now…I’ve always thought that I was AA,” he said, appearing visibly stunned.
“When they told me, I ask some babes when I know say there’s a possibility…the first one say na AS, the second and third one say na AS.”
His statement sparked a wide reaction online, with fans and followers showing concern while emphasizing the importance of knowing one’s genotype early.
The influencer admitted that the news has ruined his chances with the three women he was considering for a serious relationship.
Compatibility in genotype is crucial, especially when it comes to preventing the risk of giving birth to children with sickle cell anemia.

Many netizens joined the conversation, offering their thoughts on the matter. One user, @fasahmeta_x, sympathized with the influencer, commenting, “Sad. He should look for a girl with AA genotype. Sickle cell anemia is no joke.”
Another commenter, @powerchibueze, criticized the late discovery, saying, “Kai! Your genotype no be wetin Dey bother this nation. Moreover, that you are ignorant of your genotype doesn’t mean others are. I knew mine when I was a teen. It’s good you keep researching more about yourself and keep it to yourself… No be everything wey concern your personal life you go tell your Egbon.”
Meanwhile, this situation reinforces the need for greater public education on genotype compatibility and the health risks that may follow if ignored.
