Toluwanisings: Grandmother Rejects Burial Beside His Mother

The grandmother of late Nigerian gospel singer Toluwanisings has opened up about their strained relationship, revealing that they rarely communicated before his death.

Despite expressing deep sorrow over his passing, the elderly woman says she wants him buried in the house he built, not beside his late mother.

Her comments, made during an interview with Dumininu, have drawn attention to the family’s relationship and the disagreement over the singer’s burial.

During the interview, the singer’s paternal grandmother claimed he rarely contacted her, despite her family’s efforts to care for his mother.

She said she only recently discovered that he had become a popular gospel singer and had built a house.

“We took care of his mother very well like our own but

Toluwanisings doesn’t call me then and even when I want to call people will advise me not to. I Didn’t even know he has built a house. I just even knew of recent that he is a popular Christian singer”

When asked whether the singer supported her financially, she alleged that he rarely sent money.

“He never gives me money at all even one kobo. It’s even one girl around one time ago that I gave his number to help me call him so that I can even hear his voice and he will just greet me and all. Even when I complained he doesn’t come to see me he will be like oh mummy ‘i have been very busy with work’ and after that he only sent 10 thousand just like three times and that was it”

She also claimed he did not provide money for her medication.

“He doesn’t even get medicine for me and anything. But when I heard about his d+ath I was very touched and it’s a deep sorrow for me even though he doesn’t do anything for me.”

Speaking about the singer’s burial, his grandmother insisted that he should be laid to rest in the house he built.

“It is my wish for him to be buried inside the house he built, they should not come and put him beside his mother grave at all, I will not allow it.”

Her statement has raised questions about the family’s burial plans and whether other relatives share her wishes.

The interview has also brought renewed attention to the singer’s family relationships.

However, the grandmother’s account reflects her own perspective, and other family members have not been heard in the information provided.
