The principal suspect in the murder of five years old Hanifa Abubakar in Kano , Abdulmalik Tanko on Monday (today) denied, pleaded not guilty.
He denied the accusation of abducting and killing hanifa against him and two others in court during the trial today. The victim who was abducted December 4,2021 on her way home from islamiyya and subsequently discovered to have been killed by her teacher and school proprietor Abdulmalik Tanko after demanding 6million ransom at dakata, Nasarawa local Government Area of Kano state.
Tanko confessed earlier of kidnapping and killing hanifa with #100 rat poison before burying her remain a shallow grave in one of his schools. He then made a U-turn during the continuation of the trial together with Hashimu denying allegations that Hanifa was poisoned and buried in the school as seen in the video earlier today.
The case has been adjourned till March 2and 3 for hearing as the Prosecution Counsel led by The Commissioner of Justice , Barrister Musa Lawn asked the court to allow them present their evidence at the next hearing after Fatima ,one of the suspect denied allegations of sending letter to her parents of the wanted ransom.
