The case was officially reported by the deceased’s brother, Abayomi Samuel Aina, to the Oworonshoki Police Division an hour later.

Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, the police found the 47-year-old woman lying in a pool of blood.

Her body was quickly moved to the Mainland General Hospital morgue in Yaba for an autopsy.

The young girl, who was said to have remained at the scene after the incident, was arrested on the spot and has since remained in police custody.

The tragic event is a brutal reminder of how sensitive domestic settings can quickly turn deadly.

Moreover, it raises key questions about the rising exposure of minors to domestic responsibilities that may be far beyond their capacity to handle.

Meanwhile, as investigations continue, the authorities have yet to determine what led to the heated altercation that ended in death.

It was revealed that Dorcas was employed as a house help in Lawson’s home, though details of their relationship and the exact cause of the conflict have not yet been disclosed.

In a society where young girls are often forced into domestic roles, this incident highlights the potential risks and emotional pressures they may face.

Therefore, many are calling for stronger child labor laws and a reassessment of the roles minors are being made to play in homes, especially those involving tasks meant for adults.
