An angry crowd of Nigerians has been seen outside a police station in the East Rand after one of their bothers was allegedly murdered by a taxi driver.
The angry Nigerian nationals have camped outside the Benoni police station demanding the release of the taxi driver who attacked a Nigerian man, now dead.
Reports indicate that the Nigerian national and taxi driver had a heated argument before the taxi driver used sharp objects on him.
Before this, In 2019, a taxi driver was killed when Nigerians clashed with taxi drivers over drug dealing in Pretoria. The taxi found people believed to be police officers allegedly selling drugs. Shots were fired leading to the death of the taxi driver. Angry taxi operators took to the streets and blocked the roads to deal with the drug peddlers.
