This decision was made during an extraordinary plenary meeting held on February 20, 2025, at the Commission’s Corporate Headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.

The meeting was presided over by PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd.), alongside key officials, including Justice Adamu Paul Galmuje (rtd.) and DIG Taiwo Lakanu (rtd.).

Prominent officers promoted to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) include Emmanuel Deenom, Olufemi Takeet, Yusuf Doki Sani, and Joseph Habakkuk Anche, among others.

Similarly, notable officers elevated to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) ranks include Ibrahim Mohammed Agava, Akinloye Joseph Oyegade, and Rilwanu Mohammed Dutse.

Meanwhile, other officers such as Godfrey Ogbeide Victor, who previously served as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Utako, FCT, and now commands the Scorpion Squad in Abattoir, FCT, were also promoted.

These promotions highlight the efforts of officers who have remained dedicated despite the challenges of policing.

The PSC Chairman, DIG Argungu, emphasized the significance of this development, urging the promoted officers to uphold their commitment to maintaining law and order.

“This promotion is a testament to your dedication, and we encourage you to continue serving with integrity and excellence,” he stated.

Furthermore, he noted that recognizing officers for their hard work not only boosts morale but also sets a standard for younger officers aspiring to advance in their careers.

This latest promotion exercise reflects the Commission’s continued efforts to strengthen the police force by rewarding diligence and professionalism.
