However PRO Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, has condemned the assault of a policeman by a citizen in Lagos State. The policeman made no attempt to remove himself from the scene, as it was being captured on camera.
Adejobi said, “We condemn this act in totality. Whatever that must have transpired between them, the man ought not to have assaulted and embarrassed a police officer, on uniform, this way.“It’s a disgrace to our country and the constituted authority; he must face the music.“I am sure the Lagos State Police Command must have arrested him, or working hard to arrest him and charge him to court. In as much as we strive hard to respect peoples dignity, rights, we deserve to be respected as well.”
