Ooni of Ife Welcomes Twin Prince With First Wife Olori Mariam

There was excitement across social media on Thursday after the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, announced the arrival of twin boys with his wife, Olori Mariam.

The royal family confirmed the news through a statement shared on the monarch’s official social media page.

In the official statement, the palace expressed gratitude to God for the safe delivery of the babies.

“To God be all the glory and adoration for His wondrous works and abundant blessings once again!” the statement read.

“Warmest congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and to Olori Mariam Ajibola on the joyous arrival of a prince and a prince to the royal throne of Oduduwa today.”

“We give thanks to Almighty God as both mother and children are in good health,” the palace added.

Meanwhile, the birth of the twins comes nearly four years after the monarch married Olori Mariam in October 2022.
