Nigerian Police Force Record Fresh Breakthroughs Across Eight States

Nigeria’s police force has recorded a wave of major operations this week; multiple states saw arrests, rescues, and recoveries within days.

In Kaduna, two suspected bandits were neutralized during a joint patrol operation. Officers successfully recovered over 100 cattle that had been rustled.

All recovered cows were returned to their rightful owner, the State Criminal Investigation Department in Kaduna is now investigating further.

A separate tragedy struck Benue State during the same period, a wooden ferry carrying passengers and motorcycles capsized due to strong currents.

Rescue teams managed to save 64 passengers alive from the water, sadly, two bodies were recovered, with rescue operations still ongoing.

The Nigeria police operational breakthroughs report also covered a violent incident in Jigawa. Police responded to an attempted armed robbery involving two cows.

Officers recovered several weapons from the suspects during the operation. One suspect sustained serious injuries and later died in the hospital.

In Ebonyi, two armed robbery suspects were arrested after targeting a victim; police recovered a pistol and part of the stolen cash.

Akwa Ibom recorded a similar case involving a stolen motorcycle; one suspect was arrested while others remain on the run.

A disturbing case emerged from Ekiti State involving a minor; two suspects were arrested for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl.

Both suspects reportedly confessed during questioning by police, the young victim has since been taken to the hospital for care.

In Ogun State, a suspect was arrested in a separate assault case, and the victim received a medical report form for examination and treatment.

Meanwhile, in the FCT, police tracked down a stolen Toyota Hilux vehicle, the driver involved was arrested after the vehicle was traced to Kubwa.

Another vehicle theft case was resolved in Kaduna through a police chase; officers intercepted the stolen vehicle and arrested one suspect.

Investigations remain ongoing across all states involved in these operations.
