Popular Nigerian rapper, Lil Kesh, has broken his silence after narrowly escaping an alleged robbery attack in Lagos that left him injured.
The shocking incident occurred on Wednesday when the rapper, whose real name is Keshinro Ololade, was reportedly ambushed by unknown assailants.
According to accounts, the attackers attempted to snatch his jewellery, including a necklace, during the frightening encounter.
In the violent struggle, the artiste was stabbed in the neck and part of his ear, sustaining serious injuries.
Disturbing photos showing the aftermath of the attack quickly went viral on social media, sparking widespread concern from fans across Nigeria and beyond.
Lil Kesh was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors stitched his wounds and stabilised him.
Thankfully, medical reports confirmed that the rapper is out of danger and currently recovering.
Meanwhile, the incident has once again raised concerns about security challenges in Lagos, especially for celebrities who are often targets for such violent attacks.
Breaking his silence after the ordeal, the 30-year-old artiste shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram story.
“Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. Grateful for the love, support and prayers,” Lil Kesh wrote.
Moreover, several of his colleagues in the entertainment industry have also expressed relief at his survival, with many stressing the need for improved protection for artists.
