Justin Bieber has finally spoken out following rising concerns linking him to rapper and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The pop star’s reaction comes amid serious allegations of s£x trafficking and racketeering filed against Diddy, who is currently standing trial in New York.
On Thursday, May 15, Bieber’s representative issued a clear and firm statement addressing the situation.
The statement clarified that “Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him.”
The spokesperson added, “Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”
The clarification came shortly after an old video resurfaced online, causing a stir among fans.
The clip, recorded when Bieber was just a teenager, showed him spending extended time with Diddy while working on a music project.
In the footage, the young singer appeared nervous as Diddy questioned why he wasn’t spending more time with him.
Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal troubles have continued to escalate.
His trial, which began on Monday, May 12, involves serious criminal charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution. If found guilty, he could face a life sentence.
Despite Diddy’s role in shaping Bieber’s career in the early years, the Canadian singer has now reportedly distanced himself.
Diddy once mentored Usher, who helped sign Bieber at age 14 after his discovery by talent manager Scooter Braun.
However, the current accusations have left Bieber unsettled.
According to a report by Us Weekly, Bieber “wants to protect himself” and is “completely disgusted” by the situation surrounding Diddy.
Furthermore, a source close to Bieber revealed to Daily Mail that he is finding it difficult to cope with the revelations.
“Bieber is so disturbed by the Diddy news and is unwilling to process it or discuss it so he has shut off,” the source said.
The source also disclosed that Bieber “deeply regrets their most recent collaboration” on Diddy’s 2023 song Moment, noting he “wouldn’t have done it if he had known of Combs’ alleged illegal activities.”
