Speaking during an inspection tour of ongoing road projects in the Ifo 2 state constituency, Governor Abiodun emphasized his administration’s commitment to improving road infrastructure to ease the daily lives of residents.

“About four months ago, we were here in response to the deplorable state of roads in Ifo 2, particularly Alagbole-Ajuwon, Denro-Ishashi-Akute, Ajuwon-Akite, Ijoko-Sango, and Lambe.

I promised I would be back to commission these roads, and today, we are here to see progress,” he stated.

Highlighting progress, he added, “Alagbole-Akute is completed and 100% ready for commissioning.

Ajuwon-Akute is ongoing and by God’s grace will be totally completed by the end of February.

For the 17-kilometer Sango-Ijoko road, we’ve decided to divide it into two sections of 8 kilometers each to ensure quicker completion.”

Moreover, the Governor emphasized collaboration with residents to identify and prioritize the worst sections of the road for immediate attention.

“This constituency is of extreme importance to us as a border community with Lagos State. It’s crucial to make the cross-border experience as pleasurable as possible for our citizens,” he added.

Residents and community leaders praised the Governor’s efforts.

The Chairman of Ifo CDC, Alhaji Akangbe Olatunde, commended the Governor for bringing relief to the area, while the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Hadijat Adeleye, highlighted the years of neglect the community had endured.

“God sent Governor Dapo Abiodun to give us succor and lift our spirits by addressing the infrastructure issues in Ifo 2,” Adeleye stated.

Governor Abiodun called on residents to use and maintain the roads responsibly to ensure their longevity.

This proactive approach, coupled with community collaboration, demonstrates the administration’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development in Ogun State.
