Many Nigerians continue to express concerns about insecurity and economic challenges. However, Minister of Works Dave Umahi has delivered a message of confidence about the country’s future.
Speaking during an inspection of major bridge projects in Lagos, Umahi said President Bola Tinubu would receive the support needed to tackle Nigeria’s problems. The minister expressed strong belief that divine guidance would help the administration overcome current challenges.
His remarks came while inspecting ongoing infrastructure projects, including the Carter Bridge, which is expected to undergo reconstruction next week.
Addressing journalists during the visit, Umahi maintained that the administration remains focused on finding lasting solutions. He urged Nigerians to support government efforts aimed at improving security and development across the country.
According to him, leadership often comes with difficult moments that must be faced directly. He stressed that no government desires instability but must respond when challenges emerge.
“The same God that brought him is going to be there to solve all the problems,” the minister said.
The statement was made as discussions continue nationwide over security, economic growth, and governance. Furthermore, Umahi said the government remains committed to confronting obstacles rather than avoiding them.
“There is no leader who will not want his reign to be peaceful, but when crises come, the leader must confront them. That is exactly what we are doing,” he stated.
Meanwhile, major road and bridge projects continue to be executed in different parts of the country.
He noted that infrastructure development remains a key part of efforts to improve economic activities and connectivity nationwide.
Umahi also suggested that whether security concerns are politically driven or not, solutions can still be achieved through determination and effective leadership.
Speaking on ongoing projects, the minister prayed for their successful completion, saying, “Your hands that have started this will complete it.”
As work continues on critical projects across the country, government officials say efforts are being intensified to improve infrastructure, strengthen security, and support economic growth.
